It was once said by a carpenter that you cannot build a house without a plan. Yet our civilization somehow has the fullest of expectation that by some miracle of happenstance a one hundred room mansion all loaded and ready for occupancy will fall from the sky before us without any planning, work or effort on our part on any collective planetary level. Our civilization is moving straight ahead without such a plan in terms of projects, missions, goals, methods, strategies and dreams common to all upon our world. The defining elements as to who we are, where we are going and just how we are going about getting there on a civilization wide basis is lacking. These elements guide all of our social and economic systems. So, a created linkage or glue adding to a greater cohesion in thought and effort across the whole of our civilization is needed.
Planetary Development as a field of human endeavor is at its inception aimed at the resolution of these above issues and much more. In the future, Planetary Developers shall work at establishing a coherent framework of the above elements familiar to all the inhabitants of our world.
One of the functions that the Field of Planetary Development shall employ is the design and use of human operating systems or civilization tools which shall organize new ways for people to do business with each other in both the social and economic sense. This shall be just one function within the field of Planetary Development to come. Many other tools and operations shall be welcome as the field unfolds. For now, this page is merely an introduction to the field of Planetary Development. As the field moves forward more will be added to this website and then some.

A little soul searching truth here.
The Field of Planetary Development in truth is a concept far ahead of its time presently upon or world so thusly it will in all fact take several generations before anything tangible begins to become manifested out of the ideological constructs that in time over the next few years loosely speaking will be laid down at some points cohesively and at some points like a patch work of folly. At this point the field of Planetary Development is understaffed and woefully under funded (any help here of coarse would be well appreciated) there is myself and one or two others in my immediate domain that seem to have the full grasp of what in essence I am trying to do here with the concept of and the creation of the Field of Planetary Development. Oh, keep in mind I do a full time job in geology which pays the bills and then during the nights and weekends I continue on with Planetary Development. Right now I do reading, research and I am beginning as I have mentioned else where on this website that I am slowly gearing up for the first publication of material on the Field sometime several years hence (there is much to consider here) otherwise a majority of the work so far has been writing on blogs and such to other organizations that have at least some kinship with the ideology stimulating debate on the issue as much as possible with such groups like a brand new wing of The SETI Society go to www.setisociety.org a Google Group that is seriously looking at life or civilization possibilities elsewhere in our galaxy, but who are looking at these civilizations in a whole system way. One growing consortium of organizations and interest I have run into out there on the blogs is one called www.wiserearth.org where they are connecting up as a point of contact with the full spectrum of human fields and interest with one of the particular groups on wiserearth looking at planetary or whole system what they call "Global Governance" and in my view this is one equal or compliment measure to Planetary Development. Other organizations that I keep an eye on are those like The Field of Social Artistry that is beginning to close in on sociologic or anthropologic issues looking at our civilization as a whole system instead of just parts. It is Planetary Development on the social frontiers and Social Artistry certainly gets the credit here for founding this aspect of things, they are ahead of my curve on many things. A note - Social Artistry is gearing up for the 2008 summer session where I assume they may look at just how we as a civilization can begin a process of system wide social change and at least some type of assessment as to its overall effectiveness. Also-if there are others out there that have the same whole system or even a long term view of things please feel free to give a jingle here for as the Field of Planetary Development grows we are and shall remain open to constructive suggestions or criticisms. Look, over time (the last twenty years) I have perused across the realm of web sites, Blogs, Periodicals and telecast that have pronounced both new and old age spiritualism with great visions of utopian societies and we as of yet are no where near realizing that dream. There is a reason for this people and that reason comes down to one word and that word is "WORK". Yes, I am afraid that this is the one word that stands in the way of any utopia we as a civilization may ever dream up for ourselves. If we want it we are going to have to work for it as a whole and do so with a sense of voracity developing to a level we have never seen before. So what I now offer and what a mere few others have to date who are on Planetary Development's network are engaged in is the opening salvo of what I term "pounding salt" for the craftsmanship of a new civilization in fact, not fiction like so many theories out there running around over the years.
So here is the deal Planetary Development's Network of operations "is open to all comers who are willing to (pound salt with all voracity) for the creation of a new civilization and the establishment of new paradigms of thought but most importantly actions to resolve and enhance the human condition at large". Right now there are scores of openings on the system which exist for the express purpose of pounding salt as expeditiously as posable on both the great and small issues of our world. So if there are people out there that would like to join in with others on a platform designed to pound salt on world issues then welcome aboard. There is one thing I highly suggest that the use of profanity is curtailed because it does not speak well of you the writer and the systems use as well, I mean if things are such that you feel a compulsion for profanity than the use of your private e-mail will do just fine so you have no need to jump on the system here to do that. And besides if you cannot seem to express yourself without the use of profane words than I strongly suggest that you go and get a dictionary and learn how to use it and you will find new ways to communicate without the use of profanity, even more effectively so believe it or not. This is what I did and if you really look over all aspects of this website you will find no profanity used anywhere along any discourse along the way and if I can do it, well than anyone can do it including yourself.
Know this as well when you come on board the Network know form that point forward that you are not alone in the process and that there are others like yourself engaged maybe not in the same field of interest that you are but engaged non the less and in that there is camaraderie and a solidarity of purpose. And, as things go along you will be able to post your work out on a special forum (as of 12/13/07 I have closed down what was the "Message Board" because of undue spam out on the board this is a temporary move while I work on what may be its replacement as I look into a PHPBB forum with administrative functions it may take a month or two to properly set it up until then go to the Word Press Blog I have installed out on the old Blog site) which will be created here on the website for everyone's viewing. So don't worry we will all be together to support each other on this fantastic venture called Planetary Development - Our Own.

On 09/30/07 I wrote a follow up letter to Kathy Kidd the National Field Director of the Peace Alliance about some concerns I had about the future relationship between the Peace Alliance and the field of Planetary Development as I reviewed the letter afterward I realized how it exemplified the nature upon which Planetary Development in part will operate but also the last paragraph states just how the field will attain both a sustainable and equitable peace. A method of operation as it were.
Yesterday I inquired as to whether in the end the Peace Alliance or the hopeful DOP would be a friend or foe to the hopeful developing field of Planetary Development that over the coming years will be getting underway. I hope that the question was not to premature because a great deal of work is still needed to bring the field up to a recognizable state a subject that you in the Peace Alliance should be well familiar. I was going over the Section 107 in the congressional legislation where it speaks of the creation of an Office of Technology for Peace and how it says it will study or have the awareness and impact of developing new technologies on the creation and maintenance of domestic and international peace. Over the years I have been aware of not just a handful, not just a few hundred but of thousands of initiatives both private and corporate that would if they were supported by the people have laid down a solid foundation with this issue years ago. Everything from Oceanic Habitation and Agricultural systems, Trans-Oceanic Bridge Systems, major Solar, Wind, Tidal and Space Based Solar to Microwave Transmission Systems not to mention the full Colonization and Industrialization of the Moon and the Earth Crossing Asteroids all of these things have been fully thought through down to the finest detail with organizations like the Space Studies Institute out of Princeton along with many of NASA?s Centers go to nasa or jpl.gov and others who have done great work on an individual level like those involved with the Space Frontier Foundation on the ways and means to develop our way to the moon laying down a platform of sustainable means and growth for many generations to come. Also don't forget about the National Space Society, the Planetary Society Carl Sagan's old group which is still around. One of my personal proposals which I have introduced during some of my many talks at some of the Observatories I have visited over the years is that of the use of what I call doing remote mining operations visa vi the use of high gain digital compression telemetry with operators here on earth running large robotic type of mining machines out on the lunar surface and doing so in a very massive way and in short generating an economic system on a scale never before known on our world erecting what can only be thought of as a super middle class.
One of the tools the field of Planetary Development will utilize to gain a sustainable peace will be to redirect our collective minds present day attention toward productive and sustainable works which will have the added benefit of raising the standard of living across the board as well as eliciting the rise of a great dream or vision of our civilization as a whole as to where we as a species are going and all of the ways and means of just how we are getting there. There are those of us out here who have been looking at and dealing with the how to of such things for decades now with little fan fair ever pointed in our direction we who see the sense of this approach that will be called Planetary Development. - Our Own that's our own species that is, will press the thing, as it should be, it would be nice to have other organizations like the Peace Alliance or the DOP as a cooperative friend in the process it will take us a while to get there but we will get there. I think in the end once developed the field of Planetary Development could add mightily to the cause of a sustainable and equitable peace.

The mantra- given the resources that I do not have presently (but this to can indeed change) mainly only a few hundred dollars to throw into the pot here and there and that my regular employment is as demanding as it is limiting my time I can only utilize one type of philosophy to assure any measure of success and that is this, I will not surrender, I will not relent, I will not retreat, there is no defeat, it is all conquerable, the lack of resources is meaningless, nothing is hopeless and time shall avail all because the need for what this is and can become is growing rapidly every single day. And during the dark times when things seem all but lost and doors close before me one after another as they have than what I do is go to the most deepest recesses within my being and once again grab a hold of the sword of my soul pull it out of its sheath and with a wet stone I begin sharpening that sword taking away any of its rust until it glistens so mightily in the sun that all who would gaze upon it would marvel at its beauty and strength. The trick my dear people with holding such a sword is that this blade, this sword of the soul can "never once draw blood in anger" for only the so called virgin blade has the power to heal, the power of understanding and the power of wisdom to bestow upon its master. One can always wield the sword to destroy the enemy this is the easy part the true strength of the sword master is seen through the times the master does not wield the sword and uses the steel blade within to conquer across the ideological frontiers that support the reasoning behind those who stand before you and call themselves your enemy. This is a basic tenant that I am now laying down across time for all those who are willing to stand in the firing line of change as Planetary Developers upon our world, species and civilization.
A note - Common sense dictates that while you the sword master is engaged across that ideological frontier of battle your sword itself is fully in the open and on display for all to see it's majestic brilliance, might and strength. And please note above that I quote "never once draw blood in anger" which means that the sword master has every right to us it as a defensive weapon and only as defensive weapon can it be ever used lest it losses its power.

I heard in a movie once that "the beginning is a very delicate time." This is an understatement and personifies where planetary development is on our world at this time. I shall now open up a sort of general discussion phase where all other view points, opinions and or perspectives shall be welcome. This discussion phase shall last at least several years while work in data acquisition and the compiling of contact information and so on begins. Until pre-operations in planetary development can be reached, this website shall be considered as a work in progress.
As the discussion moves forward, keep in mind that technology is not an absolute requirement for operations but just a tool to aid in its facilitation. Planetary development shall have some what of a heavy leaning toward the physical economic plant of our world and in that, technology shall be required. As for the CLOND, it is a pure human operating system and can be carried out by a horse and a buckboard if needed. Though if this were the case, it is likely that it would take a very long time to get things done.
Throughout human history there have been times where the dreams of people envision the rise of a majestic integral civilization upon or world. Some of these dreams involved malice against our fellow humans, some did not. In very recent times, the last points I can recall, were some twenty years ago in the mid 1980s where efforts began for the development of a space fairing civilization and then later on in the mid 1990s with the hopeful growth of the social potential movement. Though these visions were more utopian than not, at least discussions were underway at some level about "whole system development". It was during this time frame that I gained a perspective toward whole system development. From 1983 to the present I have undergone a coalescence of thought toward the ways and means on how to go about planetary development. To add another time line, the principal design phase for the CLOND took place from the mid to the late 1990s.
Of course, the above is my personal perspective, I'm sure others may have a very different opinion on whole system development or a different perspective of those years, if so, share them, knock yourself out.

Also - Please take note of the Topics of Discussion page now installed on this website where it introduces the coming Periodical for the field of Planetary Development sometime a year or so beyond 2008. Keep in mind I work a full time job and do the life thing in general besides the act of pushing for a new field of human endeavor here known aptly as Planetary Development so these things are and will take time if you feel yourself impatient with the proceedings here by all means feel free to lend a hand I can put you on what presently compromises Planetary Developments network where you can assist in the process of acquiring, collating and gathering information behind the scenes, establishing contacts and so on. For anyone reading this don't even think you are detached from this process and that you have no vested interest in this would be field of human endeavor because this is your Planetary Development too and it also belongs to every inhabitant upon this world of ours.

The propose of this section is to provide a point contact running log in a chronological format to denote updates and or changes made within the out lay of the planetary development website matrix. This will help those of you who may wish to follow the proceedings, expedite your way to the most recent changes or developments without having to go through the entire page or pages of text.
The first note - be it known that the real work moving forward on planetary development will occur or begin within the second or third year from the founding of this website which places the initial first thrust some where in 2008. The reason for this is clear, in that a proper and correct lay out of the site has to established and that the right infrastructure and support needs to be attained. All in due time.
Work shall continue on during this time on the treatise for planetary development, so expect to see movement in that section particularly.

I have for the first time taken the laptop out into the community at one of the local coffee shops with WIFI just to run a test on the system and check its compliance in this area to launch image cafe and publish this statement to the web, in other words this is a test and only a test and to say hello to all with a coffee in hand and a smile on my face and so on.
A note-yes I will still use the substation from time to time and I will reiterate the continuing need for open transparency by way of the public arena.

It has been a seemingly uneventful month here on the web. I have found myself a little over the top at my place of employment, got to pay the bills somehow and for the website, e-mail, new computer and the like all so I can hopefully at some future date, like I said above begin in 2008 on the construction inception phase of planetary development or at least make the first real run at it, god willing. Well it may just sound a lot like talk and certainly my ramblings may seem pointless, but the method behind the madness is acclimation, my own. Something in me still thinks that what I am engaged in is the highest point of insanity anyone could ever attempt on our world. So I still ask myself do I really want to do this? Minus anyone else attempting to do such a thing, I say why not. If the field is wide open for the taking as it is, hello, guess who moving I have dropped in once again in the public arena at one of the local coffee shops to write and publish more in. Well enough for now as I have been writing this in a local coffee shop and they are about to close. See you soon.

out here on the blog as it were to say hello and also note what I have stated on the planetary development news page that I have been hunkered down with work on that which pays for the bills, this laptop and so on. Eventually I know I am going to have to go for a grant of some kind in order that I devote much more time to this endeavor. I will probably begin that aspect some where at the end of 2007 and or beginning of 2008. But, I will have to see how it goes with all the collation of contact info from ASTC and AAM proceeds. That's all for the moment. If you don't see much action here on the site just be it known that I am busy else where.

It has been as usual a very busy time at work so on and so forth, I feel like it's a broken record in my life playing over and over again and so it goes. I had to send the laptop back to dell, it crashed while playing music cds and for some reason still unknown it quit booting up properly, it was brand new go figure. I'll be looking at reliability issues when deciding on the next one, oh well.
I am still looking at 2008 as a realistic start time, there is a lot of pre-preping that has to be done as well as my own personal learning curve going on with system knowledge and the like. For now I am saying hello to all.

I am stopping in to my favorite substation, a LAN center in the area upon which I live, to say that I am not so thrilled with the corporate world. I find myself at a point of disagreement with the corporate HQ in the employment that pays the bills and all. The mind set is such that they seem to only see themselves and not much more, they blame the Indians for their fiscal problems and not that they the chiefs had made mistakes with their economic outlays or intermediate goods orientation. The method this came to me was in a phone call from my regional manager who said that I and others across the company were not getting the usual 3% cost of living increase because I and others did not work enough overtime on QC issues. Since there is no mandate within the company toward working any QC on an overtime basis their reasoning just seems to fall apart. So what is the real reason? In truth, fiscal difficulties of some sort not associated with the so called QC issue. It can't be the chiefs, so it has to be the Indians fault. The basic across the corporate world is that the Indians always pay the price for the chiefs lack of wisdom. I know I do my job, I cater to the clients project needs, working weekends, nights and so on. If they have a problem with the clients money they should give it back to them.
My ultimate problem when it comes to doing that with which I would love ie planetary development, is surviving within the present system long enough so as to put the pieces together sufficiently enough so, like that of receiving a grant say from the endowment of the humanities to take this work on in a full time measure.

Another day has come and gone and over the interum I have patched through another communication to ASTC and also to the Orlando Science Center the OSC concerning a request I would wish to put forth to them about the hosting of a RAP session under the auspices of ASTC policies. What is not clear to me at this time is whether or not the OSC is a member of ASTC. When I was on ASTCs website I noticed that the OSC was not on ASTCs Florida membership list which means I may have to go over to Brevard County's ASTC facility. The reason I would wish to do so is straight forward. To acquire the sponsorship of the first ASTC facility to hold a RAP on the subject of how to bring ASTC and AAM together for the creation of the seal for planetary development, will see, that's all for now.

Well I knew it would happen sooner or later, I got back to my complex where I live only to be blocked out by fire trucks, police and the like, media and so on. Fire has taken out one of the buildings I have been told. The problem is I do not know which one because no one can come or go from the complex. So I came over to my favorite sub station LAN center where it's now 10:56pm on the clock and nothing to do until the authorities open the complex for it's own inhabitants. It affords me some time to say high to everyone out on the site. I have worked once again on the weekend as usual both Saturday and Sunday. I find I am living in constant job stress so much so that my case of acne has been breaking out again, what a deal. Oh well just stopping in, I'll let you all know how the fire turns out.

Oh, the fire turned out ok, it was just the leasing office and laundry room that burned down where I live that's all.
Well, I'm back with a new laptop and this one seems to be working much better than the last one. I even, thanks to the six months package of aol I have gotten with it, the windows outlook going, oh yeah! This shall greatly attenuate a fixed point of reference for the list of contacts to come. Well I'm just signing in with you all, check with you latter. Oh by the way I am at this time running wireless at my favorite substation the gigabit Lan center here in the area. Go easy. Again, and as always when ever I white or work on this great challenge, I do so right out in the open in full public view with absolute transparency in mind and it shall remain this way for there is enough secrecy going on in this world. With planetary development I seek to change this equation. The game is a foot.

Here within this block, I shall apply the names and locations of the sites upon which I will compile, collate and ultimately build the rudimentary pre-operation capability for planetary development during this the beginning of its inception phase. I keep thinking am I out of my mind with this stuff, I mean lets get real the state of affairs on our world at this time is not so conducive toward the adding of cohesive elements. Not only are we bifurcated in ideologies but also in economics prioritization. Just how to achieve the task of civilization wide cohesion is a task not for the faint of heart. Planetary development seems to be predicated to become a system engaged in an inexorable toe to toe slugging match with pragmatic forces be it governmental, bureaucratic or otherwise whose soul duty it is to keep the status quo just as it is regardless of the consequence toward the future of human development. I hate to say this, but I do think this shall be the case, planetary development, at least at first, will probably be viewed as a pariah on the world stage. That's why I say a slow start is the better start here. Time is needed here to allow society some space to take in and process the ideologic framework and concepts to be applied across the field in the same terms an individual would use like who or what it is, where it is going and just how it hopes to get there. Well enough of this for right now for I am sitting here at Volcanoes a favorite coffee shop in the area and some dudes I know have just come in for a gag so keep it cool man, later.

Coming below shall be the operating matrix for planetary development, which shall be underway for some time. Fluctuations and changes in content may occur on and off over time with dates being added above each new entry or when any changes are also made to existing elements..
The overall effect of the treatise shall be to map out a cohesive plan on the how to's to planetary development, giving both general and specific methods, strategies, outlines and so on, on how to proceed.
A note- One of the concepts within planetary development that shall be discussed later with more clarity, is that of the use of what shall be a network of sub stations set up around the world. These sub stations shall be for the purpose of the decimation and transfer of data and information. Also- These sub stations shall provide a point of contact for those within the field on a local and regional basis. One might think in this day and age of the Internet, E-mail, lap tops and personal data systems that such sub stations would not be needed. In technical terms this statement may be true in some locations where the Internet, E-mail, wireless, cellular or satellite communications exist. But in human terms, having local and regional hubs can only help to facilitate cohesion across the field by adding a little bit of what is known as the human touch. In areas where access to such systems may be difficult or even non existent such sub stations may prove vital to operations not only in the field but out of the field as well. Keep in mind that these sub stations can be more easily set up within already existing facilities such as governmental, business or academic sites. I seem to have found a place that can be utilized as such a sub station. The first one in use during this the beginning of the inception phase of planetary development. I am writing you now from that sub station.

As I begin the treatise for planetary development I now begin a great voyage of the sole that in truth has no end. As I get started please do keep this in mind. This process I have come to realize will take a few years to achieve and at first, I mean the first year or two, I will hope not to get to side tracked into what might be termed as flights of fancy but only to increase in my focus on the concrete realities of the task ahead. One of the realities I have already identified is that I am willing to accept help from any and all comers. Planetary development belongs to all the citizens of our world unto which all not only have a part, but a very real stake in its outcome.
The method I have chosen for its facilitation is to write direct to website from a public location and or terminal with other people around at all times. This I hope will have the effect of adding a sense of transparency to the writing or work when others around me can just simply look over my shoulder to see and observe what I am saying. In fact some have already done so at different points along other areas of this website.
I wish to note that I am some what of a late comer in the area of website use in all of its seeming intricacies. So I find myself like a new student at school learning a new trade. I'm just not trying to mess things up to badly. The real trick is to learn just what mistakes I should not make and when. I usually find out after the fact and not before.
One of the beauties of the method I have chosen is that of progressive evolvement. Where you the reader can observe new developments of topics, subjects, track debates of all kinds, even join in on those debates depending on whether the number of comers visa vi e-mails may be at a rational enough number to be properly fielded and in general just enjoy the ride.
