Back in ancient times within many indigenous cultures society split their roles across male and female lines. Here, the male members of the tribe would engage in the activity of say hunting, gathering, building and or looking out for the welfare of the tribe through its defense by combat or warfare. This expresses an externally codified system whereby the men of the tribe would have the principal duty of crafting, maintaining and supporting the physical plant or the economic system of the tribe. The substance of which that would support their societies physical being.
Next came the role of the female within the tribal system. Here, the women would be engaged in the activity of child rearing, care giving, nurturing but most of all taking the long view of maintaining cohesion within the lineage structure of the tribe. In fact within some of tribal systems it was the women and not the men who would decided which men would become chief or not. Further more, if it were seen by the women of the tribe that one of these appointed male chiefs was violating the welfare of the tribe the women could have these chiefs removed from their positions, exiled from the tribe or just out right executed. In the Iroquois Nation for example the most powerful council within there system was a council of elder women. I could be wrong here but I believe they called them the crones. This expresses an internally codified system whereby the women of the tribe would have the principal duty of crafting, maintaining and supporting the social plant or the lineage system of the tribe. The substance of which that would support their societies spiritual being.
In the founding of the CLOND I have exercised this most ancient platform of human operations. In that, upon completion of the principal design phase of the CLOND I bestowed the crafted design, operating principles, philosophies and this most sacred charge unto the care of the mother, the giver of all life. Yes the Albany group is all women and rightfully so.
The Albany group is comprised of house wife's, single mothers, a professional woman or two and generally women who have experienced the full spectrum of life's journeys with some of them older and some of them not so so older, well sort of, at least in 1998 not so so much. Oh well, I'll probably get in trouble over this statement but what the hay time after all does have its own way with things, a natural truth. But in 1998 I had at my disposal a most invaluable resource, a close nit group of women who only seemed to jump at the chance to provide the CLOND with its first feasibility analysis and then a little later on in part some aspects of planetary development as I began to realize it could be possible.
One might ask, but these are not ancient times, what in the world would seemingly ordinary women in our modern age have to offer planetary development and an organization like the CLOND on its inception? And I would say, everything!!! These women have been through bad times and good ones, divorces, homelessness and episodes of alcohol abuse and the like. These women have witnessed berths and deaths alike. And, on a very personal basis these women dealt with the rearing of children alone and the system which was to assist them in hard times only failing to do so when needed the most. They have witnessed and experienced both personal and system abuse. What do you think, do you think that they might want to see a system change or what? You bet they did and that was in 1998.
Today the original group has dispersed over time and life's circumstances. There is now a near decade since that first feasibly analysis took place on the CLOND and its imperium and aspects of planetary development as well. A few of them are at this time still associated and if you noted on the CLOND news page some will be getting together this Memorial Day weekend and rehash some aspects of the CLOND among other things I am sure.
As a result of the use of the above ancient sociological system model. I know my feet fell upon very common sense ground and not in great flights of fancy. Women with children struggling to survive to put food on the table and cloths on the backs of their children have a very not only sobering, but grounding effect and perspective. A perspective of the highest degree of value when one is in the business of planetary human operating system development.
