| The sighting of an unusual type of building crane |

This I found to be an unusual piece of gear. As I was running around the other day in Winter Park Florida I ran across this most unusual crane. Normally a crane working a job like the one portrayed which is nothing more than I understand the construction of a medical building only a couple of stories high and not to far across maybe 100 feet or so you would see the use of a mobile type of Crane on tracks or tires with stanchions of some kind for stability sitting on an engine platform but that is not what you see here. In the images shown in progression from the base up you can see that the whole Crane could be assembled from and then mounted on a flatbed platform with the weights added to the base as construction of the thing progressed. This is a very small version and combination of both the mobile and the regular right angle building construction cranes. I think it is a very effective adaptation of both designs with the smaller single loft tackle carriage system used by the big building cranes adding twice the mechanical advantage giving better control and efficiency rather than the usual single whip tackle arrangement used by the mobile units doing similar work.
This little Crane is a piece of shear poetry, cool stuff.
